Big Ten announces Nebraska football’s conference opponents through 2028

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Big Ten announced Nebraska football’s conference opponents through the 2028 season on Thursday.

Despite the expansion to 18 teams in 2024, the Big Ten will keep a nine-game conference schedule.

Nebraska will continue to play Iowa each year, as the Heroes Game is one of 12 protected annual matchups across the conference, officials said.

The Big Ten’s scheduling model also ensures that all 18 schools play each opponent at least twice in the five-year period.
