Bikers Against Child Abuse visit Firth egg hunt

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Although Easter Sunday is still a few weeks away, festivities have already begun in Firth.
Forty minutes outside of Lincoln, hundreds of people gathered for an early Easter egg hunt hosted by the Firth Area Community Enrichment Team (FACET).
The annual event usually takes place the week before Easter but a combination of warm weather, a late Easter, and scheduling around other community events led to an early celebration.
“We’re about 20-30 minutes away from Lincoln,” FACET head Amanda Eisenhauer said. “We like to have something where the local kids around here, that go to Norris and Freeman, have a place to go that’s close to home.”
This year, a special group made an appearance.
Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA), an international non-profit that empowers children to not feel afraid of the world in which they live, attended the event to hand out stickers and Easter eggs.
“With it being April, Child Abuse Awareness Month, we need to get the word out that we are here for kids, mainly abused children that are living in fear,” Bacon-Man said. “We’ll get involved with those children if the legal guardian contacts our health line.”
