Bishop Neumann clinches consecutive Class C2 state title appearances

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Cavaliers were in complete control Friday night, defeating Kearney Catholic 34-0 in the Class C2 semifinals.

Bishop Neumann led 13-0 after the first quarter and scored just before the end of the second quarter, leading 20-0 at the half.

Kearney Catholic had a few chances to turn the tide in the second half, but was unable to string together a scoring drive.

The Stars were undefeated coming into this bout, but the Cavaliers handed them their first loss.

Bishop Neumann improves to 11-1 and advances to the Class C2 state championship game for the second straight year. They finished runner-up in 2024.

Bishop Neumann will face off vs. Grand Island Central Catholic on Nov 25, at 10:15 a.m. at Memorial Stadium.
