Bishop Neumann stymies Battle Creek, punches ticket to Class C-2 title game

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Wahoo Bishop Neumann football team on Friday punched its ticket to the Class C-2 title game, taking down Battle Creek 6-0 on its home turf.

This game was a defensive heavyweight battle, with the Cavaliers only needing 6 points to take home the victory.

Those points came in the second quarter thanks to quarterback Beau Fijan finding Marcus Woita for a deep touchdown. A missed 2-point conversion would keep the score 6-0.

The Cavaliers will take on undefeated Norfolk Catholic, which hasn’t lost a game in more than three years.

That game will be on Tuesday at 10:45 a.m. at Memorial Stadium.
