Body found at Lincoln apartment building identified
Drifter found burned to death on Wednesday
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A body found Wednesday morning near 16th and Washington Streets has been identified.
A witness in the area called Lincoln Fire and Rescue after seeing smoke billowing from the stairwell of an apartment building.
A significantly burned body identified on the scene was Terry Barry, a 41-year-old drifter.
No obvious signs of drug use or foul play were found.
Micheal Edwards, a neighbor in the community said, “I’ve seen a police presence, but not this close to home. This is a pretty quiet neighborhood, and we don’t have a lot of drama and stuff.”
The case has been turned over to the LFR fire inspector and the Lincoln Police Department for further investigation.
