Body of man found in southwest Lancaster County ditch, sheriff’s office says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The body of a man was found Tuesday morning in a ditch in southwest Lancaster County, the sheriff’s office says.

Around 9:40 a.m., the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office was notified that a body was found in a ditch near West Roca Road and Southwest 128th Street.

The sheriff’s office has identified the body as a 5-foot-4 adult male of an unknown race.  The body had been in the ditch “for some time,” according to a press release.

An investigation into the death is in its early stages.

An autopsy has been scheduled for Wednesday, the sheriff’s office says.
