Boys and Girls Club Summer Programs

The Boys and Girls Club offers a safe place and programs to ensure that all kids have a positive environment and bright future.
The club has activities to fit everyone’s hobbies.
“We have kick ball games going on all the time. We had an egg drop contest today where students designed how to safely drop an egg from a distance. Then we have other things like drone club going on, we have an art club going on,” Russell Mueller said.
Not only do they offer a variety of activities, they also bring in mentors for the children.
“Every body that we bring in we want the kids to look up to and a lot of it is career minded as well and so we show student, hey this is what you can be doing in the future as well,” Mueller said.
Michelle Birkel said the program is growing every year.
“Last year in 2018 we impacted over 1950 kids so we are serving more and more in the community,” Birkel said.
While the Park Middle School program is full for the summer, the club does have availability for teens to get enrolled in the summer program at North Star High School
They have programs like robotics, basketball, art and many more.
“We’re still open at North Star High School for kids going into ninth grade to senior year in high school and they are doing all types of activities weather its drone club or other types of programming as well,” Birkel said.
If you are interested in enrolling your child in the summer program, spaces are limited but you can visit www.Lincolnbgc.org for more information.
