Branched Oak Observatory hosts northern lights watch party

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Nebraskans got a nice view the northern lights on Thursday night.
So the Branched Oak Observatory northwest of Lincoln hosted a watch party.
The observatory said in a press release before the event that this aurora borealis could be “on par” with the northern lights seen in May.
And sure enough, the northern lights could be seen across much of the state.
Channel 8 viewers and users of the NOW Local News App submitted dozens of photos.
If you capture any photos or videos of the northern lights, submit them on the NOW Local News App.
