The Nebraska Attorney General’s office will seek the death penalty against Bailey Boswell in the Sydney Loofe murder case. On July 12, the state said it would seek the death penalty for Aubrey Trail, co-defendant in the Sydney Loofe case.

In released court documents, the state says the murder of Loofe "manifested exceptional depravity by ordinary standards of morality and intelligence."

Loofe, 24, was murdered in November of 2017 after meeting Boswell and Trail. Both have been accused of first degree murder as well as disposing human remains improperly.

If convicted, Boswell would become the 14th person on Nebraska’s death row.
