Lincoln Police searching for suspects who robbed cash advance store at gunpoint

Lincoln Police are searching for suspects after an armed robbery at a cash advance store near 47th and O Street.

Officers responded to the call at Advance America 10:30 a.m.

LPD told Channel 8 Eyewitness News that three men, two of them armed with handguns, entered the store and demanded cash from employees.

After getting an undisclosed amount of cash, the men fled in a green SUV.  A vehicle matching that description was found abandoned shortly after the incident.

No injuries were reported.

Police had only vague descriptions of the suspects immediately following the incident.

The same store was robbed at gunpoint earlier this month. There is no indication the incidents are related.

This is a developing story, we will continue to provide updates as they become available.
