Bridge closures at a Lincoln park lead to concern

Several trail bridges in Wilderness Park, located in southwest Lincoln, have been closed down due to their poor condition. Lincoln Parks & Recreation held a meeting on Thursday, Nov. 21 to speak with the public about finding a solution.
Rosina Paolini, a park steward, has spent most of her life in Wilderness Park and hopes to find a lasting solution for the structures in our community parks.
“Maintaining what we have already is really important,” said Paolini. “In the same way we repair the streets and make sure the potholes are filled, we need to repair the bridges”.
We will keep you updated if they find any solutions.
