LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Broken Bow man was sentenced Thursday after getting caught with more than 370 child pornography files.

Lucas Wacker, 39, got seven years and three months in federal prison for receipt and distribution of child pornography. Wacker was also ordered to pay $3,000 toward a fund for child victims.

When he is released, he will serve a five-year term of supervised release and will be required to register as a sex offender.

In April, an investigator with the Nebraska State Patrol downloaded two files from a suspicious IP address.

The IP address ended up belonging to Wacker and contained a known child pornography file.

In May, authorities searched Wacker’s home in Broken Bow. While briefly looking at his phone, law enforcement found several child porn videos.

They also found searches for child porn in his search history.

During the search, Wacker admitted to collecting and viewing child porn. He also admitted to downloading child porn and told investigators the specific app and search terms he would use.

Investigators found 12 videos and 361 images of child porn on his phone.
