Bryan Health to remove visitor restrictions

Bryan Health also announced the closing of one of their COVID-19 units as they see a decrease in hospitalizations. 

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – On Wednesday, Bryan Health announced they will be removing visitor restrictions at their hospitals beginning next month.

Visitors will still need to wear masks in the hospitals.

COVID-19 cases in Lancaster County have decreased by more than 80%.

According to Bryan Health, 99% of all employees have been vaccinated, leaving only 12 staff members non-compliant with the federal vaccine mandate for all health care workers.

Elective surgeries with single overnight stays have been resumed effective immediately.

Bryan Health will resume the following over the coming weeks:

    • All employees will return onsite: Feb.27
    • Patients will be allowed more than two visitors: March 1
    • Valet services: March 7

Bryan Health will continue:

    • Full staff and visitor masking
    • Providing updates to their COVID-19 dashboard

The Lancaster County Health Department announced yesterday that the COVID-19 Risk dial has moved into the elevated orange, now outside of the red.
