Butler County deputies searching for dognappers

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Authorities in eastern Nebraska are looking for a pair who purloined a pup from a gas station.

It happened about 5 p.m. Tuesday in Rising City, according to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.

Two people took a 4-year-old female blue heeler from the RC Pit Stop, the sheriff’s office said.

Deputies think they then drove off in a Kia Optima.

The sheriff’s office shared photos from surveillance cameras and is asking anyone who can identify the people pictured to call 402-367-7400, then choose option one.
