LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Junior transfer Kayla Caffey has already found her way into the starting line-up for Nebraska volleyball. The 6’0″ middle blocker has recorded 13 blocks and 20 kills in just three matches she’s played in.
“It’s a whole new world honestly at Nebraska,” said Caffey. “It’s night and day from the training I received previously.”
But, head coach John Cook admits Caffey wasn’t game ready when she first arrived in Lincoln.
“It’s been a little bit of a long road for her,” Cook said. “She’s got a great arm, and she’s got great vision. And those things are hard to coach. She’s got a lot of natural ability.”
