Cameron Mcthenia died on Monday after a large steel piece of equipment landed on him while on a construction site.

In honor of Cameron hundreds of people showed up to pay tribute to him, which made today a lot easier for the family.

"I mean their helping us through this it’s, I’m just blown away, I mean there’s so many people and I don’t even know half of them and I’m his brother," says Nathan Mcthenia, Cameron’s brother.

"I’m kinda at a loss for words but I mean knowing that he had so many friends makes it way way better," added Aaron Mcthenia, also Cameron’s brother.

Cameron’s most prized possession was this Jeep, which he completely built from scratch.

"He would get  off work, get to the shop, work on it, go home eat come back to the shop work on it till one or 2 in the morning go ahead sleep for 2 or 3 hours and go to work, and he did that everyday for months," said Aaron Mcthenia.

So to lead Cameron’s friends and family through the streets of Lincoln, was no other than Cameron’s Jeep, and the people inside the Jeep were the ones who were closest to him.

"You know I’m really glad that they asked me to do it, I probably wouldn’t want anyone else to do it, I probably would have been disappointed if they didn’t ask me to do it," says Aaron Mcthenia.

"He was there. We turned the radio on, and all of the songs I thought of him, the first songs and every other song it was like ‘man Cameron would love that and crack the radio up,’" added Nathan Mcthenia.

With his tribute filling up the Lancaster Event Center, it’s clear, Cameron will be remembered for a long time to come.

"I think he’s going to make a better man, he’s gonna help me to try more stuff, love more people, Cameron was the best guy ever," said Aaron Mcthenia.
