Campaigns talk about next steps in race for governor

The next debate in the race for governor will be on September 21st in Wayne, Nebraska.
Right now, there are no plans to live stream it.
Today, Krist said he’d be happy to attend it…
As long as it meets two conditions.
"That it would be moderated by an agreed upon media host that would be independent and questioned…in an impartial way," Krist said. "And second, that media cameras will be there to show the state."
"We are committed to making sure that any outlet that wants to be there to cover can have a reporter, can have whatever type of coverage they want, to make sure that all Nebraskans have access to these debates," said Matthew Trail, Communications Director of the Ricketts Campaign.
Again, that debate will be in Wayne, Nebraska on September 21st.
Trail said the topics will be the same: property taxes, expanding agriculture and promoting trade.
He said Wayne Area Economic Development, who’s sponsoring the debate, will consider whether or not it’ll be streamed live.
