Canadian man caught transporting over 125 pounds of cocaine on I-80 gets 10 years
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Canadian man caught transporting more than 125 pounds of cocaine has been sentenced to 10 years behind bars.
Christopher Frater of Ontario was sentenced last week in federal court, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said Monday.
In 2022, Omaha Police officers on Interstate 80 saw a car committing several traffic violations.
The officers pulled over Frater, who made suspicious comments.
A police dog was brought in and sniffed out the cocaine, which had been packed inside three Home Depot boxes.
Frater, 30, will be supervised for five years following his release.
