Capital Humane Society celebrates ‘Summer of Love’ with 50% off adoptions this week
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Adoption fees at the Capital Humane Society will be cut in half this week.
The shelter said the “Summer of Love” adoption promotion goes from Tuesday through Sunday.
You may still need to pay license and rabies fees for dog and cat adoptions.
The humane society said it is caring for more than 400 animals.
As of Monday morning, only 10 dog kennels were open.
And the shelter said 19 animals are ready to be transferred to the adoption center but can’t be because it’s too crowded.
“It’s essential we free up space before the July 4th holiday, which is our busiest week of the year for intakes,” the humane society said in a press release.
The Pieloch Pet Adoption Center is open from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
