Car crashed into east Lincoln vape shop, caused $10,000 in damage, police say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A vehicle was used to break into an east Lincoln vape shop early Wednesday morning, police say.
Around 3:30 a.m., officers were sent to Midwest Smoke Shop near 48th and O Streets after an alarm went off.
When officers arrived, they found the car – a Hyundai Elantra – which had driven into the front of the building, police said.
Investigators are working to contact the car’s owner to find out if it was stolen.
The business was missing around $1,650 worth of vape products and had $10,000 in damage, according to police.
An investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
On July 11, officers found a stolen Hyundai Sonata that was rammed into the front of Lincoln Vapor near 27th Street and Cornhusker Highway.
Investigators are still looking for the thieves involved in that break-in.
