Car drives into north Lincoln lake

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Several crews responded Tuesday to a vehicle that drove into a north Lincoln lake.

It happened around 11:20 a.m. at Oak Lake near Sun Valley Boulevard and Charleston Street.

A woman intentionally drove into the lake, police said.  The vehicle was not fully submerged.

Lincoln Fire & Rescue pulled the vehicle out of the water, and the woman was not seriously injured.

Police said no charges will be filed in the crash.
