Car fire extinguished in northwest Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Crews put out a car fire Friday night in northwest Lincoln.

The fire was reported about 8:20 p.m. at Northwest 48th and West Mathis streets in the Arnold Heights neighborhood.

A Channel 8 reporter at the scene saw smoke rising from the car as firefighters sprayed foam on it.

Northwest 48th was shut down.

Lincoln Fire & Rescue Battalion Chief Jeremy Gegg said no one was injured.

It’s not yet clear what caused the fire.
