Cardboard fire caused $30,000 in damage at Lincoln recycling plant, LFR says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Officials said Friday that a fire at a Lincoln recycling plant caused $30,000 in damage.
Firefighters battled a cardboard fire at the plant on Thursday afternoon.

Lincoln Fire & Rescue responded to the area of Fourth and J streets about 2:30 p.m. and were on scene for five hours.
The inspector’s report said there were oils and battery casings in the area, according to LFR, but the cause of the fire is undetermined.
