Carolina Panthers sign former Husker cornerback Dicaprio Bootle to active roster

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Former Nebraska cornerback Dicaprio Bootle was signed Tuesday by the Carolina Panthers.
Bootle, who spent the last two seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, was added to the Panthers’ 53-man roster.
In a press release, the Panthers said Bootle had been elevated from the practice squad each of the last three weeks.

So far this season, Bootle has filled in on special teams.
Bootle earned several accolades at Nebraska, including an All-Big Ten third-team honor in 2018.
In his senior year, Bootle started in every game and finished with 25 tackles, five pass breakups and an interception.
