Case advances against Lexington man in fatal shooting

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lexington man pleaded not guilty Thursday in a deadly shooting outside of a trailer home.
Aristh Rodriguez Linares, 33, waived his preliminary hearing in Dawson County Court, and the judge sent the case to district court.
Police said the shooting happened on Jan. 21, when Michael Farina came to Rodriguez Linares’ trailer.
The two got into an argument, according to court documents, and Rodriguez Linares fired multiple shots.
Officers arrived to find Farina dead inside a vehicle that was riddled with bullet holes, according to the Lexington Police Department.

Rodriguez Linares is facing charges of first-degree murder, use of a firearm to commit a felony and unlawful discharge of a firearm.
His arraignment in Dawson County District Court is scheduled for March 31.
