LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Malcolm woman accused of multiple thefts in the Lincoln area pleaded not guilty Wednesday.

Krysta McIntire, 31, waived her preliminary hearing in Lancaster County Court, and a judge forwarded her case to district court.

Court documents say she and her husband, 35-year-old Jesse McIntire, stole a Malcolm man’s Menards rebates early this year.

On Feb. 21 and 22, they redeemed a total of $3,934.83 in rebates at the Menards stores in Lincoln, arrest affidavits say.

Then on March 16, the Lincoln Police Department said the couple broke into Elway Powersports near 27th Street and Fletcher Avenue.

The break-in was caught on a surveillance camera.

In the video, someone uses a sledgehammer to break a glass door, then three people enter the store.

Two of them take a pair of Yamaha dirt bikes that police said were worth more than $8,000 each.

LPD said the McIntires were caught with one of the bikes in their pickup truck.

They also had a pipe with methamphetamine residue on the center console, according to an affidavit.

Krysta McIntire is charged with felony theft, second-degree forgery and possession of a controlled substance.

She is also facing a burglary charge in connection with an October break-in at a storage unit.

Her arraignment on the new charges in Lancaster County District Court is set for May 28.

Jesse McIntire waived his preliminary hearing last month. He is scheduled to be arraigned on May 14.
