Catholic Diocese of Lincoln removes priest from duties

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Catholic Diocese of Lincoln removed a priest from his duties as vicar general, citing “inappropriate and offensive comments.”

Bishop James D. Conley announced the decision on Monday while condemning the behavior of the Rev. Justin Fulton.

“Those in leadership positions in the diocese must be held to a high standard of conduct,” Conley said.

The Very Rev. Thomas Brouillette, chief administrator of Hastings Catholic Schools, will fill Fulton’s role.
