CAUGHT ON CAM: Teen fends off bear in her backyard
BRADBURY, Ca. (ABC) — A wild encounter with a bear in a Southern California backyard was caught on camera.
Hailey Morinico, 17, said she heard the family dogs parking in her backyard. When she went to investigate she saw a massive mama bear walking on a wall with her cubs.
The bear repeatedly swiped at the barking dogs, including Morinico’s mother’s service dog. The teen quickly jumped into action, shoving the bear off the wall and grabbing one of the dogs before running back into the house.
Morinico had a small scratch, but otherwise, she and her dogs are ok.
