Center of Operational Excellence highlighted

LINCOLN, Neb (KLKN) – Center of Operational Excellence is highlighted on October 25th in Governor Rickett’s Press Conference for their work in assisting different government departments in their response during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Since May 2016, the Center of Operational Excellence has facilitated 575 process improvement projects. Center of Operational Excellence estimates a savings of 630,000 hours in work, and $70 million.
During the COVID-19 pandemic the Center of Operational Excellence, partnered with the Department of Health and Human Services, played an integral role monitoring and determining needs to distribute PPE to those in need.
“A National Emergency Management Association July of 2020 report, identified Nebraska as the first state in the country to have a hundred-and-twenty day surplus supply of critical PPE for distribution to those who needed it.” states Jason Jackson, Department of Administrative Services.
