Central City Bison breeze by Lincoln Christian Crusaders

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Central City Bison trampled over the Lincoln Christian Crusaders on Friday night.

The two teams faced off in Lincoln, and Central City took the win 35-8.

Both teams struggled early, and the second quarter started 0-0.

But the Bison struck first.

Wyatt Dent caught a deep throw in the end zone, putting Central City up 7-0.

The Crusaders fought back.

Senior Matthew Witt threw a long pass to Cooper Torell for a huge first down.

With only two seconds left in the half, Witt heaved it to the end zone.

But it was topped right into the hands of Quinn Jensen for a Central City interception.

The Crusaders came out firing at the beginning of the third quarter.

Will Poland ran the ball 40 yards down the field, but his big play was called back for holding.

And luck was not on Lincoln Christian’s side as Central City recovered a fumble on the very next play.

Corbin Kyes used that to his advantage and ran the football from coast to coast for another Bison touchdown.

Lincoln Christian is now 2-4 on the season.
