Central Nebraska paraeducator exchanged explicit images with student, authorities say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A paraeducator in central Nebraska was arrested Tuesday after allegations of an inappropriate relationship with a student.
Jonathon Scheerer-Hamm, 28, of Clarks has been charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography, according to the Merrick County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said Scheerer-Hamm, a para at High Plains Community Schools, was using social media platforms to communicate with a student.
They exchanged numerous sexually explicit photos and videos, the sheriff’s office said.
Investigators seized the para’s phone and found the graphic images, according to authorities.
The sheriff’s office said the investigation is ongoing.
High Plains Community Schools has campuses in Clarks and Polk.
Clarks is about 10 miles northeast of Central City.
