Chase ends when man crashes into road sign in north Lincoln, patrol says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested Sunday after a chase with troopers ended with a crash in Lincoln, the Nebraska State Patrol says.
On Saturday, around 11:55 p.m., a trooper spotted a Honda Accord speeding on Highway 370 near 132nd Street in Sarpy County.
The vehicle also had expired license plates, according to the patrol.
The trooper tried pulling over the vehicle, but the driver – 21-year-old Dillon Murphy of Lincoln – accelerated, the patrol said.
Murphy headed west on Interstate 80 toward Lincoln, reaching speeds over 100 mph.
During the chase, Murphy drove over stopsticks, which were put down by troopers.
The vehicle eventually slowed down as it approached the Interstate 180 interchange in Lincoln and crashed into a road sign.
Murphy was arrested on suspicion of willful reckless driving, flight to avoid arrest, driving under suspension and no valid registration.
