CHI Health doctor gives tips on tackling your ragweed allergies
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Dr. Aaron Robinson from CHI Health Clinic ENT Nebraska stopped by Channel 8 to give some tips and tricks for this allergy season.
Ragweed allergies flare up in the fall, and the pollen can travel up to 400 miles, causing problems for everyone.
Robinson recommends keeping up to date with local pollen levels and forecasts and staying inside when those counts are high.
If you must go outside, wear sunglasses and keep your hair covered to keep the pollen away from your eyes and nose.
When you get back inside, change your clothes and shower to clean off any residual pollen.
You can check your local pollen count through the Nebraska Wesleyan University website.
If your allergies continue or worsen, see your doctor for help.
