CHI Health still dealing with effects of ‘IT issue’ at parent company

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — CHI Health said Thursday that its parent company is still dealing with “an IT issue.”

Some appointments have been rescheduled or delayed, and the health system said you may have to wait longer at the clinic or hospital.

We apologize for this inconvenience,” spokeswoman Taylor Miller said in a press release. “If patients have questions or concerns about upcoming appointments or medical needs, they can call their provider’s office. Please understand there may be longer wait times due to an increased level of calls.”

CHI Health said Tuesday that it took some of its systems offline as a precaution after “an IT security incident” at CommonSpirit Health, its parent company.

CHI has 28 hospitals in the region, including St. Elizabeth and Nebraska Heart Hospital in Lincoln.
