Child hit by vehicle near Gateway Mall in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — There was a scary reminder to slow down during inclement weather in Lincoln this morning, where a child was hit by a vehicle near Gateway Mall.
Reports of the crash first started coming in just before 7 a.m.
Witnesses said a 6-year-old boy had been hit at South 40th and O Streets.
Channel 8’s Nathan Greve says there was heavy wind and rain when he arrived at the scene, but authorities have not said if that played a role in this crash.
They did tell him that everyone is OK, however.
