City pools coming to a close this weekend

This is a sign, summer is officially coming to a close. *sigh*

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Put your swim trunks on, this is your last chance to enjoy any of the nine city pools!

According to Lincoln Parks & Rec, the pools close this Sunday at 6 p.m. for the year.

Due to most of their staff heading back to the classroom, they’re closing on time this year, the Sunday before Lincoln Public Schools gets back into session.

“It has been a good attendance year,” Melissa Lindeman, Recreation Coordinator said. “People have been excited to be out at the pools and get back in the water so it’s been a good summer.”

As of now, the plan is the reopen all nine of the city pools Memorial Day weekend of 2022.
