City provides update on winter weather operations as snow dumps in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The City of Lincoln provided an update on winter weather operations as snow dumped on the Capital City on Thursday afternoon.

According to the city, crews are currently plowing and applying granular salt pre-wet with brine to arterial, school, transit and emergency snow routes.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory until 6 a.m. on Friday.

Wind gusts up to 35 mph with additional snow accumulation up to 4 inches are possible.
