Civic Nebraska seeking nonpartisan observers for November election

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska’s general election is in a little over a month.
And to make sure those elections go well, Civic Nebraska is hoping to train and deploy nonpartisan election observers throughout the state.
The group is currently seeking volunteers who would act in a passive role to monitor elections and the polling places.
Volunteers are expected to gather information regarding how elections our run in each county and also report any irregularities back to Civic Nebraska.
Training for election observation will be held in person at these locations:
- Omaha: 5 p.m., Oct. 17, Thompson Alumni Center at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, 6705 Dodge St.
- Grand Island: 5:30 p.m., Oct. 24, Civic Nebraska Greater Nebraska HQ, 203 N. Locust St.
- Kearney: 5:30 p.m., Oct. 25, Kearney Public Library, 2020 First Ave.
- Lincoln: 5:30 p.m., Oct. 27, The Foundry, 211 N. 14th St.
Volunteers can also attend virtual training, which will be held at 11 a.m. on Oct. 15 and 19.
