Closure of popular Lincoln street set for Wednesday

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Lincoln Transportation and Utilities Department announced the closure of a popular Lincoln street.
Starting Wednesday, southbound 48th Street between Holdrege and Dudley Streets will close for a water main repair project.
According to officials, one southbound lane is scheduled to reopen on Friday, while crews will finish the whole project by Feb. 27.
One northbound lane on 48th Street between Holdrege and Dudley Streets is now open.
Work in the northbound lanes will continue through Feb. 25.
