Clouds arriving on Wednesday; Another very warm day

The 90s returned on Tuesday, and they are by no means going away on Wednesday. Wednesday morning will feature mostly sunny skies in eastern Nebraska. However, we expect high clouds to arrive during the late morning and afternoon hours. This could give the sky more of a filtered sunshine appearance.

Despite the cloud cover, it will still be a hot day. We’re looking at a high temperature near 93° in Lincoln. It should also be breezy, with wind gusts upwards of 30mph possible.

Wednesday Forecast

By Wednesday evening, we may be watching some scattered storm development in western Nebraska. We can’t rule out one or two of these for the Tri-Cities, but eastern Nebraska should stay dry on Wednesday night.

Stormcast Wednesday Night

We’re keeping the forecast dry in Lincoln on Wednesday night, although we do keep the clouds. We expect mostly cloudy skies on Thursday morning with a low temperature in the upper-60s in Lincoln.

Wednesday Night Forecast

Scattered rain will be possible early Thursday in central and western Nebraska. However, we expect more storm development in the afternoon and evening. This should develop in central Nebraska and push east Thursday night.

Stormcast Thursday Afternoon

Rain chances increase in Lincoln starting Thursday night. That said, the storms will likely be breaking up on approach. It’s an opportunity for some rainfall, but not necessarily a guarantee. Hopefully, you can pick up some rain in your gauges.
