Cloudy & cool with snow showers on Monday
As a cold front passes through the area early Monday, we will be looking at the chance to see some snow showers. The snow chance is with us starting Monday morning as snow bands set up across the area.
We expect snow showers to remain possible through the morning and afternoon. It probably won’t be snowing at every point on Monday, but don’t be surprised if you see flakes flying. We’re looking at afternoon high temperatures in the 30s.
On Monday night, we’ll be watching another wave of low pressure to our south. Some regions in southeast Nebraska may be just close enough to see another evening batch of snowfall. This will likely set up to the southeast of Lincoln, for areas closer to Pawnee and Richardson counties.
We don’t expect a lot of accumulation with any morning/afternoon snowfall. However, for areas that see snow this evening, perhaps up to 1″ of accumulation is possible. As is typically the case with snow events, locally higher amounts are possible wherever Mother Nature decides to flex her muscles.
While some flurries can’t be ruled out for central Nebraska, most dry out overnight and into Tuesday morning. It’ll still be chilly for the rest of the week, with highs in the 30s for most days.
