Cloudy, cooler for a turnaround this Tuesday

Skies have turned overcast overnight, leaving us to a lot of cloud cover Tuesday morning – stumping morning temperatures around the middle 60s. Breezy conditions out of the north with gusts up to around 25 mph are also keeping temperatures steady to start.

Stuff The Bus Pivot

We’ll be partnering with Lincoln Public Schools (today) Tuesday, August 6th, for a “Stuff the Bus” school supply drive! Be sure to stop by Channel 8 anytime from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. to see us and drop off supplies that support teachers and students this upcoming school year! It should be a rather pleasant day for it, too.

Dma High

Toward the late morning hours, the clouds will start to break up and clear out for more sunshine throughout the afternoon and evening. We’ll start to gain some momentum by then, but still only warm to about the upper 70s and low 80s.

Dma Compared Average

This will be about five to 10 degrees below averages at this point in the year. And there’s more cooler days ahead!

Tues Spc

A couple stronger storms will be possible in the Panhandle later this evening, but our next best chance for some rain won’t come until late Wednesday night into Thursday this week. There’s a Marginal (Level 1 of 5) risk for them for any storm to be borderline severe.

4 Day Temps

Those rain chances will drag temperatures down into the upper 70s both for Thursday and Friday.
