Cloudy, cooler with rain at times Wednesday
Rain and thunderstorms continue to move in on southeast Nebraska early Wednesday morning. It wouldn’t be a bad day to keep rain gear handy, as much of the morning will likely have rain in the area.
Chances drop off heading into the afternoon, yet some widely scattered storms are anticipated to redevelop by Wednesday afternoon and evening. No severe threat is anticipated throughout Wednesday.
Since we are expecting many dry hours today, too, rainfall isn’t expected to exceed up to 0.25″ or so through Thursday morning.
Clouds and precipitation will keep temperatures a lot cooler than Lincoln’s high of 91° yesterday.
The next three days have a chance for rain, and high temperatures are expected to stay in the 70s until some warmer weekend weather.
Many terms get used when we talk about rain chances.
Here’s a good reference for the difference between “isolated,” “scattered,” “numerous,” versus “widespread” coverage across our area, along with the Probability of Precipitation (PoPs).
