Coach Osborne will testify against medical marijuana bill
LINCOLN, Neb. — The fight against legalizing marijuana in Nebraska is getting some star power.
Former Husker Football Coach Tom Osborne is expected to join Governor Pete Ricketts to talk about LB 110 Friday.
The bill, which will be heard in the Judiciary Committee soon after, would adopt the Medical Cannabis Act. That would put the regulatory framework in place to make marijuana available for medical purposes in Nebraska.
The Nebraska State Patrol and Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services are expected to join the coach at noon.
State Senator Anna Wishart of Lincoln introduced LB 110.
