Cold start to Thursday; Warming for the weekend
It will be a cold and blustery start for Thursday in southeast Nebraska. Temperatures should drop to the lower and middle teens by sunrise. Winds will be gusting to 35 mph overnight in to Thursday morning. The combination of the two will produce wind chills -4° to 4° for the morning. Definitely bundle up if spending time outdoors!
Morning clouds will give way to clearing skies by mid-afternoon Thursday. Even with sunshine out for the afternoon, temperatures should only rebound back to the upper 20°s (east) to middle 30°s west. Expect the temperature to top out around 31° in Lincoln.
While Friday morning will be cold – lows in the teens – temperatures will quickly rebound for the afternoon. Highs will climb in to the 50°s.
Dry and warm weather will be the rule for the weekend. Saturday will bring mainly sunny skies and temperatures in the lower/middle 50°s. Sunday will be the best day of the week (if you like warm weather). While a few clouds will be around, temperatures should be able to climb in to the 60°s.
