Columbus Police warn of fake company that’s scammed people ‘all over the country’
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Columbus Police Department on Wednesday issued a warning about a fake company.
Wesson Equipment has a website, which claims that the business is based in Columbus.
The website features photos of heavy equipment like skid loaders and excavators.
The only problem? Police said the company does not exist.
“People from all over the country have gotten scammed by them,” the department said on Facebook. “We are working with multiple federal agencies to see if we can get the website taken down.”
Anyone who has been scammed by Wesson should contact local law enforcement.
