As a trough exits the region to the east it will take with it showers, thunderstorms and cloudy conditions. High dewpoints will remain meaning some areas of patchy fog by morning. A ridge of high pressure will move into the region meaning a lack of rain, plenty of sunshine and cool temperatures for August. By the end of the week the warmth returns with plenty of sunshine and hot temperatures by the weekend and beyond.
