Cooler for Friday, Warm Weekend Ahead
Not quite as warm for our Friday, though high temperatures will be well above average for the final day of the work week. Cloud cover is expected to increase this afternoon, which will try to limit our high temperatures.
The majority of us will see highs in the upper 40s, though a few will sneak to the lower 50s.
There is an extremely small chance of a few sprinkles this morning with a passing front, though the vast majority of us will stay dry, according to the latest runs of StormCast.
Wind gusts look to peak late Friday morning before tapering off by this evening. Wind gusts 30 miles per hour or higher will be possible Friday morning.
Friday evening looks to be mild in Lincoln with temperatures close to our average highs for this time of year by 8 p.m.
Lows tonight look to be a little cooler as the majority of us return to overnight temperatures in the 20s.
Mostly clear skies are expected this evening in Lincoln, with temperatures falling to the lower 20s.
After a brief cool down, we warm back up for the weekend with a little more sunshine and temperatures in the 50s. We look to be on record watch on Monday with temperatures expected to soar into the 60s. Chances for some much-needed rain follow heading into the middle of next week.
