Cooler Start to the Work Week
Cooler temperatures arrive for the start of the work week. Most of us stay dry and breezy on Monday, but there will be a chance for rain, turning to snow by early Tuesday. Accumulations will be minor and short-lived, but impacts could carry into the Tuesday morning commute.
The latest runs of StormCast show a small chance of showers and mixed precipitation in northeast Nebraska late on Sunday into early Monday. Chances of wintry precipitation arrive for eastern and southeastern Nebraska on Tuesday morning.
Low temperatures tonight will fall to the upper 20s and lower 30s across the state. Near the status quo for early April to start the work week.
Temperatures tonight in Lincoln will fall close to freezing, with mostly clear skies through the majority of the evening.
A similar story plays out with our high temperatures across the state on Monday. Cooler weather settles in over the north and east, while we see slightly warmer conditions along the I-80 corridor. Just about everyone will be cooler than our Sunday afternoon highs.
It will be a brisk start to the day on Monday in Lincoln with temperatures in the 30s and 40s up until lunchtime. 50s for the afternoon, but winds will pick up slightly out of the northeast.
Temperatures start out in the 50s but surge briefly into the 70s on Wednesday. Another round of precipitation starts up late Wednesday night, with chances for showers and thunderstorms continuing into the weekend.
