LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A semitrailer crash on Sunday shut down a part of two highways in eastern Nebraska for several hours.

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened around 7:30 p.m. at Highway 30 and Highway 79 near North Bend.

The semi was hauling corn syrup, which leaked onto the highway, according to the sheriff’s office.  It’s unknown what caused the crash.

A towing company arrived around 9 p.m. to upright the semi.

Around 12:35 a.m. Monday, both highways were reopened.
